bitmap tp jpeg

whats the eeziest way to change a bitmap image to a jpeg?

Resave to jpeg

how exactly do you do that?

Open the pic in paint
Click save as
Under save as type choose Jpeg

Or, any other image editor you have. Open the pic as if you were gonna edit it, choose save as, then make sure you select jpg under file type.

I use Microsoft's Picture It.



Don't laugh, it came free on a cd from Walmart's photo center.

I've tried this , but it doesn't give me a choice of jpeg, or there's just something i'm not gettin' i have a ton of bitmap pics , but can't covert them

download irfanview, it's free.

hit save as; then hit the drop down and select jpeg

threadkiller, i downloaded that,but i might as well be trying to land the space shuttle by myself, i guess if i put some more time in it i might be able to figure it out, i got 1 to transfer to jpg, but i have hundreds and hundreds of bitmap images, i know i'm not the sharpest tool in the shed, but i just am haveing a hard time doing this, i need the program, Converting Bitmap to Jpeg For Dummies! I don't know, if anyone else has any godd suggestions i'm open, i've tried everything suggested in this thread, except for the wal-mart program, maybe thats what i need??? who knows.....

That reminds me, I once made a nice tutorial for this program at work. You can edit your pictures online, and save them in different formats. Awesome widget!

Everything is aggravating when first start using it

Whatever editor you choose use the batchfile option to convert large numbers of images.

Be sure to do a test run or two until you get the hang of by putting images in a "test" folder
