Everywhere I see all the stupid shit we used to talk is getting people legitimately fired from their jobs and turned into accused sex offenders...how do you all feel about the slow, yet increasingly powerful, corporate grasp tightening around the internets throat?

How to do you feel about the increased pressure to tow the line of what's popular in the media? Do you feel like the world is slowly turning into a weird mix of 1984 and Brave New World?


Or do you maybe think the world is fine, and the news is trying to scare us? What's it like in your neck of the woods? Share some experiences or things you've been thinking lately. Cancel culture, misgendering, untrustworthy media, Miley Cyrus being replaced a robot, whatever your feels about 2020...share em, this might be the last place to do so and not catch a lot of shit, or the FBI kicking in your door because you made a joke about Ted Kaczynski having "some pretty based ideas about technology and the future".


This is a bit of a test, to see if anyone is interested in talking about the world of tomorrow, today.

I wasn't really super interested in internet censorship, but after spending eight years interning sexually with Infowars.com seeing it get banned over literally nothing was a real kick in the glockenspiels.

By way of example, the vaunted Instagram police (pretty much the standard-bearer for arbitrarily and capriciously deciding whether images violate some impossible to codify in words "community standards" are primarily made up of a relatively small number of Puritan heritage proud, science-denying, religious zealot archetypes that tirelessly search the Interwebs for the glimpse of a nipple. They totally get their rocks off by friending people, pretending to be one person, and then searching through uploads and reporting that person to the mind-numbing bureaucracy that is the Instagram Gestapo.

You also have to keep in mind that in the background of all that quality wanna-be porn evaluation going on, there is a high-stakes game of misinformation/disinformation being played by some people with tiny little hands but very bad intentions. That includes El Caudillo del Mar-A-Lago's sycophantic followers, enablers, and financial allies including the unofficial State TV, Faux News. The fact is that our current clusterfuckatastrophe was not only foreseeable, but predicted:

I don't like censorship of any kind, I don't care about your political views, I care mostly about fair and honesty. I think censorship will only fuel extremism. If I have to place myself on the political spectrum I am a libertarian. I have done the political test online, I can share the result if anybody is interested haha.

People are way too tribalist these days, their whole identity is around their tribe. This will limit them so much in being open minded, free thinking and most important critical thinking. Another things people don't seem to understand that they are played by the main stream media, big tech (facebook, google, twitter, ect), and a lot of activists. You are being played as a puppet to advance power of these "elites". The left needs the right, and the rights needs the left, without a fair and honest discussion we are lost as a society.

azdesertrat was dead on about the AZ voter registration drive.
It makes one wonder how many people had ballots mailed to a central location that were then filled out and "signed" based on photos of the signatures used to register. Unfortunately, the Secretary of State will undoubtedly never look into that, as her party "won" AZ this time.

The end of the beginning is nigh, my friends. Stack food to the rafters, load mags, lotion, tissues, and forget about the toilet paper... the lemmings have already bought it all!

I am trying to keep myself out of political discussions... I have to tell you, have a LOT of difficulty with it. One thing I hate or can't stand is cheating, lying and dishonest people.

I always have been a milk toast fence sitter, but I am getting more and more political activated. Something I hate, as I have never been a tribalist, but enough is enough. Only thing I can say, when time comes I will be ready and will not go down without a fight. Liberty for all...

actually, it's not that hard to understand what was done with our vote. 1st, flood the voting system with fraudulent votes using the covid as an excuse for sending out ballots to millions of dead, non-resident, & moved away voters who hadn't been purged from voter rolls. 2nd sell the "swing" states a "high tech" voting system, for what looks like a gonga price, that leaves a BACK DOOR for the owners of that system to sneak in and change votes in the voting machines to their agenda. not real complicated. but totally illegal, unconstitutional, and immoral. and the USA court system is not prepared for this scale of fraud. i, for one, am pretty pissed about my vote being negated by these cheaters. there's already talk afoot for dividing America between the states that believe in the tenets of our constitution and those that don't. we'll see what happens.
