Anyone know anything about Bluetooth?

I have had this AMbicon USB Bluetooth Adapter for a while now, and I use it like crazy with my Sony Ericsson T616. I heard recently though that this adapter could be used to connect to wireless networks (internet). Our campus library has a wireless network for the laptops it lets out, but all of them ahve regualar Wi-Fi cards in them. None are USB. Does anyone know if mine might be compatible? I've looked for information but come up short.

there isn't much change it'll work.. the wifi network has to be bluetooth-compatible, and that's very rare.

If the network doesn't support Bluetooth or the bluetooth adapter doesn't support WiFi, it won't work.
