An official COUNTER-STRIKE/HL/All other mods TOPIC!

THis is a topic that devotes talking about Half-life and all of its' mods.

I would like to start out with a question. I recently downloaded the mod The Specialists. I find it to be very fun, but it is rather confusing. There are special stunts and you can customize weapons, there is even Slow-Motion! If someone here has played can they maybe give me a little background and explain the game to me? THanks.

I normally just play Counter-Strike.

Nothing special about the specialist, I think there is are defusing, a kind of last team-man standing and shoot the other teams as many times as you can in an interval of x minutes.

i play Cs to and my fav map is cs_1337_assault ^^ and when i war i play de_dust2

I play most of the time Day of Defeat, I was looking for more Half life mods, but the only one I could find are: DOD and CS...

Well not been posting a long time now but this is a topic i like

Been playing cs a long time now.

My fav maps are de_inferno,de_dust 2

And fun maps de_predator de_minidust cs_alpine and every as map.
They should bring highrise back in roulation couse that map was great.


I hate fucking "rush the hallway as Terrorist camp there a bit and then rush back and stay near spwan until the end off the round "

Btw try Natural Selection for a nice multiplayer mod ,dunno iff its been played a lot couse i haven`t played it a while since last update

i've played natural selection its ok for a change but still cs is my fav and i don't mean to flame to bad but come on guys that like dust 2 your the ones that make it so that the same boring maps that have been played for years keep getting played give new ones a shot. Just cause you know all the little tricks and all the camping spots so that you can get high scores.......man thats what the hacks are for

Id have to say my favorite is cs_italy. That fy_snow level is my fav funmap tho. I used to play DOD but went back to CS. Both are fun.

ive played dod, cs, ns, and the specialists.
i have to say that cs is my fav then come ns, ns is really fun when your aliens, but mariens require a good commander or your a goner. dod was once on lan, and i pwend as a newbie :P all you do is take low recoil and run around and spray, with cs skills you can get kinda leet the specialists wasnet all that for me, all the items and crap confused me, so i stoped, never played on the net though, only with my friends

And about that new map part....there are fun server for.
The other server have the standard maps on em.
My clan had a server for the regular maps and fun maps but as the clan fell apart so did the server...
And about the hack part i have to say fuck cheats

the whole 'STEAM' thing ruined the game, takes too much space, had to delete, never worked too good anyway.

Ok at firts i was like wtf is this...

It`s still buggy but i think it could become a good program.
Couse i don`t have too use gamespy or gametiger.com no more to look up where my buddy`s are playing.
And it seems to have banned a lot off cheaters couse i don`t see em that much no more.
They are still out there but a lot less then before.

They still need to sort out some probs and bugs but like i said i like it.

1.6 is another story....

And too much space , i have over 1 gig off maps for cs
