A little help if you please

I was wondering if someone could help me. I am trying to put up an avitar but when I try it tells me that the pic is the wrong file type. anyone know what file type i need and how to do it????

Avatars are small graphics that are displayed under your username whenever you post.
Note: The maximum size of your custom image is 270 by 100 pixels and 15360 bytes whichever is smaller (For Sponsor Members this is 35840 bytes),,jpg has always worked for me

that is all good, but I tried that and it says i am trying to use the wrong file type. and I don't know what file type to use??

I get that too, and I use a Jpeg, jpg, or bmp as we are supposed to use

You can use jpg/jpeg images and gif images. It used to be that most any image would uploade(bmp, png) and they would be auto converted to a jpg, but with V5, it does not do that.

Just make sure to use a jpg/jpeg or a gif and it should work. If it doesn't, just attach it to this thread, and let us check it out.

shit, I forgot if you attach it to the forum, it will add the wbw tag to it. my bad. it's been a while since I've attached any jpgs to the forum. I usually do gif and png.

well, your problem is that the picture is too wide. if you can upload it to http://www.chickupload.com and post the link, i will fix it for you.

Using a PC? Right click on the pic. open with paint. then go to file save as. then under "file name" it says "save as type" scroll down to jpg then click save. that should do it!

Personally, I think I like this one a lot better. I dont have a lot of good fonts on my laptop, all the good ones were on my desktop(which is kinda dead ATM). I had forgotten about this one.
