"mid" life ... What If?...

So I have been thinking about things lately. You know, how would things have turned out if I had made different choices in life? Yea, I know, I've got it pretty good - a good job, a nice house, a HOT wife, two Great (yet annoying) kids. What if I would have married someone else? Stayed single? Moved? I was talking to someone at work about "life", how all the choices you make in life not only defines who you are, but also shapes your ideals, and your outlook on everything else. We both were going through the "what if?" stage. He is in his mid fourties, yet I am only 31. Holy Sh!t man, can't wait for the mid life crisis around 50... hope it ain't this bad!

What ifs will, and have driven me crazy.

My life has changed a lot in the last ten years because of the "what ifs"

I choose to live in the present, and for the future now, the greatest thing I have learned is, the grass isn't always greener on the other side of the fence

So far I've been avoiding making difficult decisions in life, but once I make a few rock solid ones, and they totally blow up in my face..I'm sure I'll totally regret them.

Like for instance, I really wanted to have a few kids when I was in my late teens and early twenty's..but I've changed my mind on that, and I might regret that later on. But, as for right now....I only have a handful of regrets.

Its about learning to recognize opportunities and having the balls to grab them as they come along, everything can change in an instant.

I totally agree. Good way to look at it.

you kids...you worry too much. live your lives to the fullest every day & don't be afraid to take risks.

I think of "what if" often enough...... I am of "that" age. I have made a lot of right choices and even more wrong ones in my life. Fact is - if i made any other choice differently i would have been a different person with a different life and i quite like who i am. Im not as rich as i would have been, im not as well built as i would have been, but the memories i have is worth more than anything in life..

What if, I wold have stopped drinking earlier in my life...not gotten so many DWI's

My life is a wreck, and I have no one to blame but myself...and I'm not looking to blame anyone, but "What If"?...

I hadn't cheated on my first girlfriend?..wold we still be together?..."What If"?...

I hadn't gotten into trouble with the law so much...What If"?..

Out of the 4 of us that hung together...we'd bet on who would have kids first..I was voted the one to have kids first. What a shock...I have no kids and the others have at least 2 each..."What If"?..

I regret alot of choices I made in my life, now...If I had the chance to go back and change one thing, I would...hell.. I bet everyone has a point in their life where they'ed like to change something. A "Do Over" would be so kick ass...won't happen though. Make choices in life carefully, they shape who and what you are. I myself, am not too happy with my life..."What If"?...

You could switch lives with someone else?.."Walk a mile in their shoes"..so to speak..DO IT! See what their life is like...I bet when ya got back to your own life, you'd be sooo happy.

I might just might have remarried soon after my split, but fuck, live is sweet now, so who knows. I work hard on keeping my figure, running and whatever, and meeting interesting men and women - a lot of them like the people here on WBW.
