I have been very active in the UK porn industry over 25-years. I started Television X The Fantasy Channel and magazines like Asian Babes and 40 Plus. I was editor of Penthouse in the UK for ten years. I have access to acres of adult material and I would be happy to share this with you. In return I would be very grateful for your opinions on our industry and ways in which you believe we can better serve our customers. I hope you may be interested on getting an inside view of the current industry.

No this is not Spam. I'm here to share comment and discussion and pictures but with no return links. I am genuinely interested in your views. If I want to promote stuff I'll use the Tube sites which are a better direct targewt to customers. For me this is simply an opportunity to get some grass roots 'man in the street' feedback nothing more. I hope everyone will start a dialogue. As for posting pictures I'll only do it when I think I have something of interest to members or a little unusual. When I do post a picture it won't have a link or a url.

Yes of course, women too sorry. Indeed, I would be very interested in a woman's perspective. All our stats show that they account for 3% of our customers. Maybe we are doing something wrong. I used to publish a magazine called 'For Women.' It was a kind of glamor magazine for girls. It was full of naked guys. The first issue sold 400,000 copies but after five years this dropped to 3,000. The feedback we got was that the readers weren't interested in a magazine without erections so we closed it. As you will know the law is rather silly on this point. We cxan show women in any position but we cannot show erections - go figure!

I think both types of porn serve different purposes.

But what about Hustler Mag, they show just about everything ie. penetration, BJ, etc.

On the subject of women our current best paid model and the most popular is over sixty-years of age! We uploaded a video of her onto one of the 'Adult' Tube sites and in one week it received over 100,000 viewings. Compare this with a video showing a couple of teenage lesbians which was viewed 560 times.

US magazines operate under a different system. In the US you can't say 'toilet' on TV. In the UK you can have full on nudity on mainstream TV. In the US you can sell sex magazines with erections but only through selected outlets. Wal Mart won't stock them for instance. When the main supermarkets stopped selling Penthouse in the US sales dropped by 50%. Here in the UK the law says erections are ok but the main distribution companies have their own rules and they say they won't handle anything with an erection. It is a minefield really. The Internet of course is like the 'Wild West' with virtually no restrictions other than USC 2257 which all responsible publishers adhere to. In the end we find that you need a unique product and we specialise in real people who have never modelled before.

Ahhh well I didn't think of that. Right now the only places you can get them here where I live is in special types of stores. The only one that I know of is called Video Zone and they have an enclosed area for all of the adult stuff (toys, movies, mags, etc.)
