I have to ask... Why your server blast me off after a while when I get connected with "Konqueror"? Finaly I resolved that by turning off ALL indetification (OS, platform, Browser etc.)

I also cannot folow link in posts to atached pics.
Konq. just opens the window, but no picture...
I tested it on some other sites and it works, but here not... HEELLPPP!!!

P.S. I think that hdparm can also bring some more speed to Linux OS, what is your opinion about that...?

I don't think Diz has tested the site with Konqueror... might be some CSS or bugged code-readiong issue

And IMHO, Konqueror is not a very good browser, it's slow, resource-hog, laggy and just not good looking

Stay with the Mozilla!

I don't know about the HDparm on linux, never tested, don't even know what it is

I use sometimes Konqueror because I just switch from file browsing to internet browsing

This 1.81a Mozilla is relly realyy fast! And the startuo is fast

Dunno, think thee might be something in the advanced partitioning....
And Partition Magic's new versions can do that too... I recall...

I am just now squezing the machine that U wouldn't believe ...
Xine + Kedit + Sound Tracker + Konkueror + Kppp + 2x shell + Top...Kmail etc...
And it works almost flawlessly :-) 20% time proc. used... I can't believe it

I know that in red Hat cluster size can be set up at the instalation... As far as I can remeber....
But never found that option in Mandrake...

OK, tell me does KOrganizer crashes when U start it...?
My version of 10.0 was crashing permanently... OK, not the OS but a lot of KDE apps.

How about your BOX...?

P.S. I am not courage one but I have 2 machines, so I can allways play experiments on one of them

My server is a poor 400 MHz Pentium II with 256 MB memory and old IBM 16 gig HD, so it will not be some ultimate machine no matter what I do to it..

And I haven't tried it much yet, I got it online for couple of hours and shutted it down cause there was still so much configuring to do

And I need to silince it down so I can have it online 24/7

Not brand new machine too The other machine is even older than that

Hmm.. I would still have parts to put up one 333 MHz box, but I have no use for one
I got 2x333 MHz P2's, Intel AL440LX Motherboard, 192 megs (128+2x32) RAM for it, pci-videocard, keyb, mouse, 10/100 MB ethernet card and even a display for it
And a 230 watt power...

I'm starting to wonder what do I do with all those parts and machines I have...
I currently have 4 working comps and parts to make one more

I'm still having problems with the Mandrake, I can't get my SSH and SFTP to work for some weird reason, normal FTP and Apache are working just fine, but those two...

I just need to g33|< a bit more with the machine

Did you try to run KOrganizer... Does it crashes...?
BTW U could make one more PC just to experiment with it... hdparm etc.
