My first writeoff was my first car. It was a Peugot 406 1.9D R reg. I had only been passed my test for 5 months and thought i was getting good at letting off the accelerator mid-turn to kick out the backend. I was doing it so much my back tyres were soon bald. I had my car booked into get new tyres on the saturday but didnt bother `cos i was a lazy pot head back then. So midway through what was a usual day i drove round a right hand corner which isnt that tight. I went to straighten up the wheel when i quickly realised my ass still thought it was round a corner and i was going down the road at 90degrees to the right facing a field. I tried to correct it and due to no grip from the rear tyres and too much speed, i swung 180degrees round and was going down the road facing the left. Trying hard to correct this mega-sideways action i veered off to what was supposed to be on my left hand side which was actually infront of me still sliding to my right, until my car dug in on the grass and flipped in the air landing on the very strong front passenger pillar then came to a sudden stop, side up on it doors. My passenger in the front who had his seat belt on got a hard knock to the head from the pillar caving in but he was fine. While the passenger in the back who didnt have a seat belt on must`v felt like she was in a tumble drier for a split second. She started off sitting behind me and ended up lying on the door in the wrong seat but was miraculously unhurt. She managed to somehow lose her shoe but keep hold of an ounce throughout the whole ordeal. If i could relive that whole experience again exactly the way it was and how it turned out, i would. It was amazing, apart from seeing my car get taken away by the police recovery vehicle, that broke my heart.
