Ford has a new motor coming in the spring of 05 480 horse for the mustang,I had a 70 Boss 302, ford rated the horsepower at 290 to get into the trans am races but they dynoed at 450. With the right equipment it ran the 1/4 in 143.9- however for those of you that don't know the fastest production muscle ar was built by Rambler in 1968 it was called the Rambler Scrambler it only came in RED White and blue even the interior,it was ugly but sure kicked ass.

What I don't understand is this: why do some companies still make cars based on the technology of Roman Chariots??
I mean come on guys - live rear axles, LEAF SPRINGS????
More to the point, why do some people still rate them when they are only any good going in a straight line?

that was Ford reason for the live rear axle in the new mustang
and the new stang can turn a curve just not as well as a car with a IRS

I noticed in the news yesterday that for the first time ever, Japanese cars made up more than 30% of sales in the US last year. Just wait until Chinese cars come on stream - you're going to see cheap AND all the kit. The US makers are going to be struggling big time! I'm no fan of Chinese stuff btw

For one straight rear axles are much stronger than these stupid CV joints put on new cars. I work at pepboys and see people wanting new cv joints everyday never see people coming in lookin for new str8 axles.

My favorite muscle would have to be the 69 GTO or the 69 Camaro.
