Do you think this sounds too good to be true. A 50bhp increase for £350 plus they come to you!!

Hi, word of advice, go to the introduce yourself thread, introduce yourself, read some of the rules.

Wbw is a cool place and many questions that you have will be answered as soon as people can answer them, but there is an unwritten rule, that you must get a few posts under your belt before you go asking stuff.

As your first post isnt too much of a request, and at least in the correct thread, ill try to answer your question.

By the looks of your nice golf, is it a tdi? (judging by your name too, it is)

As your web address is grey listed i cant see what you are asking, but for diesel tuning, that sort of increase is possible for that cash, but if your car is a petrol, im unsure that they could do it for that amount of cash.

Post your question at this forum too.

They can probably answer more than me!

Welcome to WBW!

Sorry bout that. Yeah its the GTTDI 130bhp. All other remaps ive seen have been around £385-£400 for a 30 or 40bhp increase and i'd have to travel around 100 miles for the pleasure. Cheers for that

Many companies promise you a place from heaven or eternal life.

Only truth is to test it yourself. Go to a dyno, test how much it gives you as default. Then go to the dyno after the chip is installed. I bet the results are not good as you think they are. Chips aren't the place in heaven, you need to modify the engine much more to get good results. Stock parts aren't that great.

What mods would you recommend before the remap? Ive had nothing but trouble from induction kits n filters in the past. Thinking bout upgrading cams and pulleys etc

Basics: Better flowing exhaust manifold, bigger exhaust cat-back maybe 2,5", turbos love big pipes. No counterpressure needed. You need to buy a good intake kit to make it work. AEM CAI kit is awesome.

You can also change bigger turbo, Masterpower makes awesome turbos, they are based on Garrett design but are much lower price, good shit. Wiseco pistons, camshafts with sharper angle, adjustable cam gears and maybe new valve springs too. You may also need to put more gas pressure to prevent petrol going too thin mixture.

I think you should join in some VW forum where are lots of people modding their cars. I've had lots of help from a local car forum.

Any performance exhaust form a reputable company will help a bit, some one like scorpian etc, a stock exhaust for a r32 will be for a petrol engine, not a diesel one.
You need to remeber that tuning capabilities are not as big on the tdi engine.
