So i picked-up a sweet 2010 F-150 over the Thanksgiving holiday last week and I need a bed liner. I don't want a drop in, i want a spray on, anti-slip liner. My question is, has anybody here had any luck with the DIY spray liners? see, i bought the fancy truck, but at the same time i'm cheap and also very handy. I don't mind taking the time to cover and prep the truck and bed surfaces. I have the air compressor and the room to do it, but i'm not sure how they actually hold up over time. The places that will do it for me, around where I am, all charge around $500 vs me doing it myself which would cost about $200 and a few hours of time. The places that do it for you all have Lifetime guarantees, which is nice.

So, anybody ever do this themselves? what do you think about it?

I have had trucks in the past with this type and I would pay the extra and have it done. Unless the bed is 100% free of any contaminants, it will have a good chance of peeling off in spots.

Dude, those are sweet ass trucks! Don't REDNECK it out, and spray it yourself. Be ballsy, and spend the cash! Don't fuck up the truck!

the truck is sweet. standard 5.4l v8. gonna put a soft torneau cover on it. put 20" all weather tires on it when i got it. the thing hauls ass even with a full load strapped in it.

it does take $80 to fill it though. but i do get almost 600 miles per tank when full.
