Spy Shot of the New Audi A5

Germany's Autobild magazine last week ran an artist's illustration of the 2007/2008 Audi A5 Coupe. Autobild has since published a rear-view illustration and what appears to be the first actual spy shot of the car.

It has been reported that it is an actual photo with an edited background and some airbrushing. In addition to the new images, Autobild has also published some details on the new car. According to the report, the car will debut at the Geneva motor show in early 2007. The car will be positioned somewhere between the BMW 3-Series coupe and the 6-Series. Engines will range from 162 to 265 horsepower for the standard model. Meanwhile, a high-performance 2008 S5 will offer 353 horsepower, and and an even more powerful RS5 will follow in 2009

What do you know about this. Look at the renderings...Rear side window and rake are different. Are these both of the A5 ? I don't know much about this car but Autobild's report was out last week and made it to the US this week meaning that I would think that the spyshot is new.

The cars are different.

the Audi A5 shall basically have 3 models. A5 general, A5 convertible and A5 coupé

i just mixed the coupé with the general A5

I can't read German We don't have much yet on it. I like the A5 general better than the coupe. Speaking of which, I think I get my car back from the shop today. Gotta make a call...

that coupe would be a real opponent to the BMW 645 and the CLS i think. Audi and Lamborghini work on that coupé together as i heared

Is this car any bigger than the TT?

I think you mean the CLK.

it looks like they finally want to make one of their cars look different. which is why i'm thinking it won't get to production

Good question. I would think that it must be if they are doing a coupe otherwise, it there would not be any real difference between the two. I could not find any more detail.
