Ok so I am looking to get a new car here within the next few months and am trying to make a decision between two cars that I like and are very good cars. Any owners of these cars have any input on this?

I think the Scion looks a little better but the other is a honda and they are proven to last.. IMO

I don't own either one, just giving my .02 cents.

They both hold their resale value really well so you can't lose on either one. They are both really great cars. I used to own a '03 Civic si and loved it until my buddy totaled it. I had another friend that owned a Scion tC and she liked it a lot. I guess the only matter is if you want a two door or a four door. They make the si in a 4door model now but not the tC.

The new SI is bloody fast...but not too good on gas. Also, I'm not too sure what the aftermarket is like on it.
The tC on the other hand...not nearly as speedy as the Civic, but the aftermarket is HUUUUUUUGE! I believe there are a couple SCs out for it that have proven to be pretty reliable. The only downside is that it seems like everyone and their dog owns one (at least in the US...we don't have Scions up here in Canuckville!)

At the end of the day, it comes down to Toyota (Scion) vs Honda in terms of quality.

I'd jump on the Honda, but I own an '08 Civic EX. Great car, especially with a manual trans in it. I usually run around 40 mpg. And then on top of that Hondas are great cars. My whole family has one, including an '89 accord that went 375k miles.
