An idea for a slightly nostalgic thread...

tell us what the first car you owned was!

1. Car Type - Make, Model, Year car was made
2. How old were you and/or what year was it that you got the car?
3. Any unique things you remember about the car... fucked up paint job, trunk held down with a bungee cord?
4. Post a picture of the car itself or one you found online thats similar to it if you want

as for me...

i'm still driving my first car (please hold the young jokes), i owned 2 different cars previously with an ex boyfriend of mine (however they were in his name), but this one is the first one thats actually all mine

1. Jeep, Wrangler, 1992

2. my dad gave it to me when i was 19 which was in 2004, so at that point the car was already 12 years old

3. the car runs perfect but its got some downfalls first it has no air conditioning, and BONUS no back windows! so you can imagine how that goes when it rains or when its cold or extremely hot i pray for gentle weather thats right, if you see some chick in a red wrangler driving down the road in orlando florida in the middle of the summer sweating her makeup off... thats me. :P it also doesnt have a radio, so youve got to hum if you want music.

4. i have some stunningly awesome pictures of my jeep :P

Picture of my jeep

Proof of my awesome sound system

This is my air conditioning system, and youll notice the sheet of paper next to it which is my "navigation system" as lindros called it

Shocking proof that when it rains it pours... IN my jeep

Post yours!

1. 1969 Triumph TR6
2. i was 17
3. the paint was not really perfect....the back seat area fucked you in the ass, and water leaked into the boot. Also, the thing read in miles, so useless in Oz

I got it from an auction for around 3k at the time, cheap for ther type of car....
wish i had kept it and fixed it up now that i think about it

it was similar to this, but blue...

Wow... you guys had it good. Mine was an 1982 Ford T-bird. Had everything! Power windows, locks, mirrors; A/C; leather... keyword HAD. They must have been nice cars new. I traded a Gateway 433Mhz Celeron for it, with monitor of course. Mine didn't have a dashboard, air compressor, electrical system to roll the windows down, no radio, and the seats were nothing but foam pads. The big V8 it did have only fired on 5 cyl... Of course maybe I only had the base model?

1965 Ford Mustang...

It was the Pony Model and it was in excellent condition... By the time I got rid of it she was totally trashed...
I really didn't take very good care of it and I still kick myself in the ass for not having taken better care...

1st car was a 69 Mach1 Mustang

I was 15 when I bought it. I had asked my dad if I could buy it, and he said no (I rarely listened to him) just showed up at home with it.

The engine was seized up, half torn apart, someone had taken the carb and intake off of it and left it sit without the hood on it

Also it was full of rust, from the body panels to the shock mounts to the frame, not a spot was without it

I could tell more but I'm tired of typing for now, I do believe the year was 1983 though...

If I remember correctly I think I paid around 800 bucks for it...

This was my first vehicle 1989 Chevy Blazer (not the one shown below)

It was seriously haunted, the doors would lock and unlock by themselves, and the dome light would also do the same thing. I know it had alot of electrical problems, I liked it though, it was a good muddin truck.

I had it from 17 till I was 20, then it died.

The next car I got because I was driving to college everyday (which was about a hour drive, the car only cost me 1,000 dollars. I forget the year, but it was a Plymouth Horizon (not the one shown below)

I thought the blazer had electrical problems, the transistor went when I wash the piece of shit in the winter, the steering wheel would lock it I made tight turns, the back doors would open while I was driving, the heat would work when it felt like it.

But I had the car for a long time, 21 to 23, I think it was older then my Blazer was too

1964 Chevy Impala. Gold with a white roof and a blue drivers side door. It was in 1975, and I was 19 with my first full-time job. My mother rode in it a few times, and always said that it "smelled funny"!! Girlfriend's name was Janis. And gas was 45 cents per gallon!!

It wasn't in this good of shape, but it's the general idea!!

First car I ever had was a beat up ass draggin 80 somethin MR2. It's similar to this car but slightly different.

It was a silver color with primer showing. It had no interior lights so one night I was driving home with the music loud as hell and didn't realize I had put the transmission in 2nd gear instead of drive and blew the damn engine. I was happy though cause I hated that damn car and I replaced it with a crx...

which I liked a hell of a lot better. Now I don't drive cars anymore cause I don't like bein that low to the ground but they were fun when I was a kid.

a haunted car i hope you didnt do any fucking in the back seat, probably not a good idea to have your pecker out not knowing what might happen to it with that kind of spookyness

1)
1991 Jeep Wrangler.

Yeah, bitches. That shit was hot. Plus, unlike Fefe, I had a hard-top, air conditioning, AND a radio/cd player.

2)
I got that shit from ma-dukes, when I was like 19, which would have been 1999, so it was like 8 years old when I got it. I think it had about 75K miles or so.

3)
Lets see, I remember that before I got the jeep my moms had never taken the hard top off, which seemed quite ridiculous to me. Also, I had me some awesome secksytimes on the shitty bench seat in the back.
