i'm not so sure about that sharp bend at the bottom, but it's a diffrent approach to hiding one...

I wouldn't think this would allow for maximum performance with the restriction in air flow, but i guess you don't know till you try...

i don't think he's going for maximum performance... the pipe will lead into a air box... with the fender back on everything will be hidden, then he can race for money and tell everyone that it's close to stock...

Think u'd get alot of turbo lag somehow, as the boost pressure would have to fill that long tube first!

they have cars running around 1,600 h.p. with twin turbos in the trunk...

Guess the lag can't be all that great then...

check out any of the sts systems. rear mounted turbos, if set up poperly there is NO lag(like any other turbo system, if you do any system right there will be pretty much no lag..) , youll see these systems on mostly larger engined cars. http://ststurbo.com/ of course they arnt as efficent as one normaly mounted, but if you dont have the space under the hood and want it to sound cool as fuck... pefect!
The commercial they play on tv is AWESOME http://i.b5z.net/i/u/1473169/m/STS_TURBO_VERSION_2-0001.wmv check it!

lot of people have been trying to make a "junkyard system" with suprising results too.here is a site that does alot of DIY turbo INFO http://www.junkyardturbos.com/forum/phpBB2/ they have a section for the "remote turbo" if your intrested in doing this and not spending as much this site is great! It helped me alot i was running a remote turbo on a 88 t/a with 5 psi but one major down fall to the system is your turbo gets exposed to the elements a bit easier so i had to remove it since i have to drive the car almost every day, as of now i have a beater car so i can work on a convetional mounted turbo for the car... that is currently in peices.. to bad im out of money eh.
