Ooh, that one appears to be styled after the '70 T/A's hood and spoiler (sadly not the side exhaust). I wonder if they'll produce one like that or only with the tamer R/T hood. I've wanted a T/A for a long time - being able to get one that turned and stopped might get me into a dealer

i love the shapes of the cars, i like this newer version of it because the corners and edges of the body of the car is sooooo smooth

Concept cars very rarely get made, but I like this one and would love to see it on the street.

The challenger will be looking very different from that. Just like they ruined the Charger with the "new look"

Actually from what i've heard it will a bit tamer than that..but fairly similar. Im not sure how reliable it is, but i've heard it might be one of the first to have a 6.4L hemi with about 510hp. (complete rumor i've only heard a few times)...but it could be a pretty badass machine. It's good looking and pretty fast even if it only has the current 6.1L hemi at the top of its options list. Hopefully it looks like it does in all the picture i've been seeing in motor trend and car and driver..

If they make it like that, I will be very impressed that they tried to keep the old style.

The car is a done deal, and it will be as it appears on the website as given in post #3. I'm not sure why the styling debate continued on past that. It can also be seen here:

or any other of the billion pages that come up when you google "2008 dodge challenger".

I think for the money though, I would prefer one of these:

I happen to be looking thru my current HDD where I saved pics when the story on the car was hot off the presses, and as such it seems like it should be out now to help boister slumping sales, however, even with Ford's new Mustang, the company is not doing too terribly well. GM just averted a crisis with it's recent union strike, and of course medical benefits for car workers is a sore issue due to how much it is versus other companies.
Here's the pics I had saved of the Challenger for 2008:

looks like shit. They're trying to combine old with new. same as that truck and charger.

The old, retro look kicks ass. I think the new Fastback styled Mustang is one of Ford's best cars. Have you seen the film DeathProof yet? Great action from Tarentino that pays homage to classic muscle as well as the best stunt people in the business.
I am bummed these pics I saved as bitmaps don't show in a window! Ugh
Here's the front view anyway:

That first set from Fathertime is a custom off the original planned, see mine, those are the earliest prototype images and likely tamed as the production model will get. At the same time these came out, there was one of the interior as well, note how that image really harkens back to old school design! If you only care for recent car aesthetics, this may not appeal to you at all.
I would love to get these all in one post but I can't get any result from the Add More Files button!

the first photos are of an older car. If you look closely you will see leaf springs which aren't used in the new challenger
