New car

don't know a lot about cars, but just bought my wife a brand new 2006 Fiesta Zetec S 1.6, with privacy glass for £9,300. Getting it middle of March, i think i got a good deal, thoughts?

yeah nice car for the missus. what toys did you get in it, extras wise. the GF has had her new clio about 16 months now and she only paid maybe 5 or 6 hundred less and its only a 1.2 engine in hers. we virtually had to beat the salesman just to get some car mats, the tight arse.

the only extra we paid for was the privacy glass, unusually the quickclear screen and electric mirrors doesn't come as standard as it does in the zetec climate, but it's got air conditioning and the standard stereo is actually quite decent. Very nice alloys compared to the Zetec as well. I'll let you know how it goes.

i've never driven a new car and i never will... now i drive a Citroën XM break ( http://www.whatboyswant.com/showcar/10680/1814/ ), bought it for €2500 and i'll see how far it'll take me (30.000km so far) second hand cars never let me down and i never paid to much... my first one was a Renault9 and it only cost me €500...

Is that much cheaper than the focus?

Sounds like a pretty good deal... as long as you got some extras. Sounds expensive for a strpped down version.
