just a question about motorsports?

some people are into drag racing, nascar, imports, off roading, cruising, or any other motorsport... my question to my fellow car people on wbw is, what are you into, and how did you get into it.... my mom was a gearhead, i was taught the fireing order, how to set timing, and how to read plugs before i learned to ride a bike... that is how i learned about drag racing, from my mom...

Well, I guess the excitement to cars came from my fathers side. He has loved motorsports all his lifetime, and made me to love it too. My folks always watched F1 races, WRC, GT and other car classes from the TV. My dad also took me to those car wrecking races, where they drive fast with old cars and don't mind if it wrecks a little. We call it jokamiesluokka (everymen class). He also built his first car himself, which was '70 Opel Manta. He knows lots of stuff about cars and helps me out when needed.

Many youngsters around here get a moped-license when they turn 15 years. That's the biggest thing among kids, it has always been. But I never wanted a moped, I hated them. I always said, "When I turn 18, I drive car-license straight away and get myself a car". Fucking mopeds, 45km/h limited, oh teh speed!

damn !!! i forgot about the f1 cars... i love watching them...

It sure wasnt from my Mom..... she forbade me to have a motorcycle until I was 21. But then I got a bike and didnt kill myself. Now I roadrace ( see my avatar ). My mom never wanted to know when I was doing it. But when I race, the natural high is waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay better than any chemical high. I hope to keep doing it for another 15 or 20 yrs. ( I am 45 now ).

I'm into drag racing. got into cars when i was a teen. We used to go down to fountain ave in brooklyn on sundays for illegal drag racing..Tons of fun to watch. They used to race for pink slips on the south conduit.

Any open wheel road racing series, ovals bore me to death !! Also enjoy ALMS, and GT road races too. But my fav is F1

i freaking HATEEEEE NASCAR with a passion, bunch of dumb hicks watching cars go around in circles until 1 crashes and they go W00HOO!!!! FIA Racing and F1 is my favorite, i really had no influence, my dad loved BMWs and wasnt really a gearhead or anything, but i kinda jus started to watch it and when i watch F1 it truly takes me away from stress and what not, i have no favorite driver or anything, but if i were to truly have 1 dream in this world it would to be an F1 driver. I love racing, i love BMWs thats the 1 influence i had, i have a 1975 BMW 2002 project car me and my pops are working on. O and i hate japanese cars!

ha ha !!!! i still don't tell my mom i owne a bike... she knows, it's just a matter of respect.... i have a 1986 gsxr 1100, and a 1983 gs 1100...

i've always heard about fountain, but i've never been up that way.... didn't they break up that street ???

Nascar bore's me to death no disrespect or anything I do like some F1 and cart but don't follow it much'Mytrue love is motorcycle racing Moto gp is my fave followed by A M A. Car racing is o k but watcthing motorcycle's race is a thousand time's better
