Say it ain't so. After dominating F1 in the late 80s, dominating CART in the late 90s/early 2000s, Honda decides to pack it in. That leaves just the European brands(Benz,BMW,Renault and Ferrari) to duke it out for world supremacy.

I'd heard this was probably going to happen a few years ago. The explanation I heard back then was it didn't advertise their brand well enough to justify what they spend, and that other circuits might be more valuable in that respect.

It doesnt surprise me that much. Honda haven't been doing that well in the F1 in recent years ... And I think they want to focus more on events like thr IRL etc ....

yes, it does suck, but a lot of companys are going to be evaluating things with the economy this way...

yeah they make great cars but thats certainly an expense that they can cut. Sad but thats life these days. I wouldn't be surprised if Nascar dies a bit too
