disappearing car doors

No more door dings in the parking lot, that would make it worth it right there...

the only problem i see is the rain and snow...

A door like that being caked with ice probably wouldn't work so well, but with rain, I can't imagine anything would get much wetter than a conventional door...

And just think how easy cleaning the interior would be, no more obstacles to get around while using the shop vac

my only concern is what happens if the electric motors go out while your in the car or when you need to get back in?? looks to me as though you are just shit out of luck at that point with no handles or way to open without the motors.
