The difference between the Veyron and the Skyline is that the Veyron is street legal and reliable. The Skyline would fail emissions and blow up after 10,000 miles at best. Skyline is fine for the track, but the Veyron is a truly elegant piece of engineering that's suitable for the road.

That depends of a country you're going to register it. I'm sure it's not going to be street legal in Finland, but after all, you can't do nothing in this shitty country. I'm sure there are places in the world you can register a powerful skyline.

Its all about personal opinion....some people like their modded Jap stuff ( me included ). However the Veyron is, undoubtedly, the finest piece of automotive design ever made. The engineering that went into it was unique, including the fact that Bugatti struggled to find a wind tunnel that could test the car at 250+ MPH....I believe that the cost to produce each car ( inc set up costs / development etc ) was in excess of $5m. It is simply the concorde of the car industry, a showcase of what is possible given the means...

Why get a Veyron when you can get the Koenigsegg CCXR with 1018 bhp, it kicks the living shit out of the Veyron, and it looks better to.

it's not the fastest car... however the Barabus TKR may very well be the next fastest cat .. 0-60 in 1.67 seconds with a topspeed of 270 MPH ...20 more then the veyron. and at a price of $500,000 it's atad cheaper then the veyron aswell.

the crash..ooh well atleast that one was driven unlike the other 290 that are sitting somewhere in a showroom or collectors garage...shame really..the car was made to be driven , not to just stand there...

You truly cannot compare the Skyline and the Bugatti. I agree... The Bugatti, though amazing, is not entirely impressive. For $1,000,000.00 I could build my STi to out perform it.

100 in the rain may or may not have been hazardous... I've done 110 in the snow...

Nissan also released a limited edition R34 that would beat it... it was priced at $170,000 and ran a 10.06 quarter.

I agree. And it includes much more interesting and improved engineering than veyron does.

If i had that sort of money i wouldn't even look at a Skyline or any other moded car...The point of the Veyron wasn't to be pitted againest other cars, it was simply an engineering feat - it was built to prove it could be built.

BTW. Nissan made an ultimate upgrade package to skyline, it came from the factory with over 1000hp. So basically, you can get MUCH better car than Veyron without touching the engine yourself.
