Coils In A Sub Problem

Hello.
This is my first post in the car section, as i do not know much about them. anyway. i have had my sub for about 10 months now. and all of a sudden it stopped working. sometimes it would cut in and out for about 5 seconds then stop. and now it doesnt do anything at all. a person i know told me it has something to do with the coils and its easy to fix but kinda dodgy or something. i dont really see him that much so i cant ask for his help. so i was wondering if anyone else here has had the sam problem or knows how to fix it and could possibly point me in the right direction. i dont have any money to buy a new one at the moment either. so thanks if anyone could help.

The more important question is: does it have screen doors? That could be the problem.

don't count out the possibility of a simple short. make sure your wiring is still secure and that the insulation has not been worn away

My sub went under water & now I can't find it. damn

My sub was stolen a few weeks ago.... Maybe you have seen it?.....

someone ate my sub...i bet it was that jared guy...

oh and check the wires to make sure they all are still not cut somewhere then check your fuses check all small things before moving on...

Sounds like a bad ground... check all of your connections and make sure they have good contact.
