Deathtrap, I was in the back of one of these doing 130mph overtaking 3 cars in a row on a single carriageway with oncoming cars approaching, and soon running out of road! scary stuff!

a little dated now, but still a classic all the same, they handle like they are on rails, very quick also having a 2ltr engine under the bonnet of such a small/light car.

much fun to be had in one

Anyone who knows anything about cars should know this is one the the greatest hothatches of all time. Even now its a coveted vehicle. Recently featured in EVO magazine, it came 6th (I think) in their 'best performance cars of the decade'. It beat cars that I thought should have beaten it (as I have owned quite a few meself!), such as the P1 Impreza which is interesting. However in the tests the Williams, as it used to in the past it wiped the floor with machinery that cost ten times that of a little old Clio! Very desireable car. The standard 16v had its charms, but this little blue and gold rocket....its in another league.

Not many of these in the UK, but from £2000 - £6000 roughly they are a serious bargain. They are not overly complex cars, but if it does not handle SUPERBLY then assume it needs work. Not always that expensive to sort though

Always nice to see Williams in other Countries. You own it in Netherlands? Seen a few left hand drive French ones before, but none others.

How little you know lol

These things like Adman said were scary, a little like the old Peugeot 205 1.9L but quicker in my experience. A great great car though nonetheless.

it' s a fantastic machine, i owned one for seven years, i thought it was the best handling front wheel drive car available, you could carry ridiculous amounts of speed into a corner and all the car would do was cock an inside rear wheel, all you had to do was keep the throttle buried, if you lifted the back would just snap oversteer and it was quite difficult to get back...

(i had no. 326, the first batch was a numbered limited edition), didn't want to get rid of it but found something better, a lotus m100 elan now that is a proper car...
