I just bought a 1998 Nissan Pathfinder. It is in awesome shape except for some rust on the non-painted undercarriage parts. The rear end is probably the worst. Any thoughts on treatment (besides sanding and painting)? I ran across a product called "Rust Doctor" (http://www.therustdoctor.com/) that claims it causes a chemical change in the metal and arrests the corrosion and rust. Sounds almost to good to be true. Anyone???

There's a whole bunch of things here. And it's a good quality product too.

That spray on "rust reformer" may be the ticket and easily accessible. Cool.... I've used some navel jelly and brushed the worst spots and it doesn't seem to deep. Yeah.. maybe that stuff will be just the ticket. Rust just freaks me out on a car!!!
