The Issue
I have this car and am moving 700 miles from a small town to a large city. Not many cars in the paper here.... so low supply...but not sure of demand either. It's a college town though. If I sell it here I will have to hit the buying trail after the move to get another basic transportation vehicle. If I decide to sell I will first have to deal with the selling... then. later.... with buying. I paid $2000 for it.

The Car
'91 Honda Civic DX 1500
160,000 miles, cleanest engine I have seen for a car that old. Looks great, Runs really well. Tires decent, no leaks, shimmies a bit at 60. Small crack line coming down from top of wind shield. It does have some sort of muffler issue... there's a hole somewhere.

Thoughts anyone?????

i paid 300$ for a 92 dx with 200,000 miles on it. nothing wrong with it at all no rust super clean. i put another 90,000 miles on it too with out replacing anything untill my girlfreind wrecked it. that seems to happen alot. i think i got it cheap cause the millage on it, but these cars seem to last forever engine wise.

well heres some buyer advic for your next car:
Do the cluch test i.e stall the car if it keeps moving that has gone demand they replace that before sale or lower price.Get dealer to rev it look for blue smoke out the tail pipe.if there is then might be buring oil or needs some engine work. and all the papers look good with service history take it...but play hard ball and get them to do a oil change before sale, It's only fair car that amount of miles dealers will always crack for that sale. if push them hard I should know I am one!

@caribonz - Rotate and balance your tires... that should stop the shimmy at 60

hard to say what to do... no matter where you go... your not gonna get more than a few hundred bucks for it.. You know this car and you trust it... why get rid of it? 160k on civic that was taken care of... should have a good amount of life in it.

my 2 cents
