car freaks... help decide our car theme.

Ok so we need a car theme.. but what should the colors be? We don't have many options.... here's what's taken.


1.blue - Kim's theme
2.red - xmas 2005 theme
3.black - dark theme

So this is getting difficult... so I thought I would try and get a few opinions.

I wanted like racing colors... To me red white and blue are racing colors...but always associated with the US... although they are Dutch colors,british colors, aussie colors,french colors....etc...

I know i would want more of a hotrod old school car theme.... but i know we have a lot of new school tuning fans... so I'm just trying to get a feel of what people would want.

well, if there isn't any copyright issues i'd pick a good car from the Top Of The Cars, cut it out and put it where Kim is and then chose the best colors that go with the car. and does it matter if you use the same color in two themes? if so would a different shade be ok?

that's a pretty good idea... But Top of the cars sucks i HATE most of the cars up there... But I'm sure we can Find a hot car with a wide appeal.

I'd suggest silver. There might be something among the cars I posted, you're welcome to use them.

if its too hard to find the right car, just have a close up of a part of a car. a wheel with cool rims could work, or an odometer, or a grill, etc. with web design the most imprtant thing is to match the design and color with the pic. find or create two that work together and you've got a sweet theme.

question first, is the dark theme a mod only theme, its not in the theme selection?

How about black with yellow and orange flames, or would that be to hot rod?

totally agree!!

too many different tastes in cars...i dont like many of the ones in the top of cars either..
a Rim, speedometer, steering wheel or something like that as nerfman suggests would be a cool idea.

Just play with the pic abit..

its a theme thats beem developed right now by kanzen..not released yet

Ok... so it looks like we'll be doing one similar to the old one then...

I'm just using this as an example... to see if this is the right direction.

yeah definatley have to be `shopped..

I was trying to find somthing that would not be easy to identify.

here's the pic I cropped.. can always crop it differently too

zoomed in a bit more and turned the floor all black

second pic has also been lightened

Don't do too much work nerfman until we really decide what to do...

we need to work on colors.. Kanzen said we probably could do orange without it hurting your eyes... we would need nice contrast and complimenting colors as well.

What about.....Checkered

I really don't care. I liked the red and green one we had before.
I'd be happy with like a silver and green theme to match my Windows theme.


Also, the dark theme that Kanzen's working on looks good.

Maybe you should post the one and only pic in the car gallery.

black for me, but that blue dosen´t look so good on that page
