great race by montoya.

good podium finish for kimi.

rubens finished 3rd

in spite of schumakers crash and burn, and having to start 18th, still in the points.

now well see if the other 9 teams can get ferrari to give in to save france and silverstone.

and if mclaren, williams and ferrari are going to have to run 3 cars next year

if they are allowed to have 3 cars it will get even more boring and they will not have a lot of people watching it anymore... Or how much fun can it be to see 3 ferraris on the podium maybe 10 out of 17 times???

No need for three cars! Midland team may come already next season! And dubai team comes 2006 I think..

Don Juan, Ice Man and Rubin Rubens...nice podium finish for this season!
A wild guess...i think we gonna have a new world champion next year.

whether montoya is new champion or not depends on how well the new mclaren performs.

rubens has shown flashes of brilliance.

kimi could make a run.

but never underestimate schumaker.

and there is still a big gap between ferrari performance and those of the other cars.
even with the 2005 changes and the aggregate qualification system, renault bar, williams and mclaren have ground to make up before it becomes more competitive.

Sundays race was absolutely fantastic. Two german manufactures 1st and 2nd. Makes me I hope McLaren could make winner car for next year and we could see Kimi celebrating titles. This season was unbelievable farce. Next year we have new set of rules and everything is new. I'm so glad, that FIA finally realises how good is having two time-trials and sum those times for making the pole. I think we're going to see very good racing next year.

i am a ferrari fan, but even for me it was boring.

i like a competitive season, and this year was just boring with the exception of a few races.

so i want to see the other big teams pressing the red car.

and its not the drivers fault either.

@walker: i think everybody hopes so. or it gets far too boring

Dont discount Button... Along with Kimi he is the best up and coming driver. Plus the BAR was the closest challenger to Ferarri.

Oh and I dont see how you can say that Rubens deserves to win his own grand prix... The simple fact is that he is not good enough around that track. He has never had bad luck there, he has just not produced. Dont get me wrong I like Rubens and I think he is a very good driver... But you cant say he deserves to win.

i just heard that bar wants to get out of the formula 1 because from mid 2005 it would not be allowed to make pr for tabacco anymore. even outside england!

sexghost. is ferrari going to give up marlboro?
#525426
Lvl 33
dont think so mardigras. this is not a new law of the european union, just from england.

by the way mardigras: bar as a tobacco company is owner of the team, marlboro is not...

ok, still a pain in the ass. is it going to make any difference if they dont run at silverstone?

btw, new event in 2006. cancun. depending on when they hold it, that could be one hot week.

lots of hot girls in varying degrees of undress 24/7 so i hear

I think you might be wrong there - as I understand it, the EU passed the new regulations but the UK decided to adopt it early. The race at Spa was dropped last year by Bernie because Belgium decided to adopt the advertising ban even earlier.

no, the eu decided that IN the eu there may not be any commercials for tobacco anymore. the british of course are a part of it and adopted it but they also even made it more strict. they decided that all british companies may not do any commercials for tobacco anymore even if the event is abroad! and because bar is british they also may not make any pr anymore when the race is in japan, brazil or wherever!!!
