BEAUTIFUL retro Porsche with a twist!

Behold...the Cevennes Turbo CNG

I had no idea they were working on something like this, and I want one IMMEDIATELY. Unfortunately it's only available in Germany on a very limited basis due to its unusual alternative fuel, Compressed Natural Gas (CNG). Porsche intends to see how the people react to it at the Geneva Auto Show and will go from there. Performance specs are pretty impressive for an alternative fuel car...then again, we're talking about Porsche, they'll accept nothing less than the best. It's beautiful, and I'd buy one in a heartbeat. Except...........CNG is not commonly available in most places, and it still results in CO2 when burned. Assuming you believe the Global Warmers. Its currently -2F here.

that's why it's only going to be available in limited quantities and only in Germany where I guess they'll have specially equipped stations for CNG. Granted it still emits CO2, but it's much less than regular unleaded fuel or diesel.

Shit aye I want one... looks pretty classic... they should ship them down here in NZ, most of our fuel stations carry CNG...

well the very first porsche was made from alot of parts from the volkswagen beetle , maybe he means it looks like a 500 or 850 coupe... looks more like a retro to me...

no offense intended, but i think its kinda ugly. its too squat for my taste. looks like it would handle like a dream though.

I really like it. Much like the new Camaro, I dig it when auto makers resort to the retro look for newer cars (oxymoron?) If this car does well in Germany (aside from the fuel problem) why wouldn't you at least bring a few over here to the States for the hell of it?
