here's the specs for the jetta tdi http://auto.consumerguide.com/Auto/New/reviews/full/index.cfm/id/38261/Act/Specs/

And the clio v6 is pretty nice but for probably the same price you could get one of these instead http://www.streetracersonline.com/articles/hpar32/

looks like that renault clio v6 evoII is going for $70k (australian) and the golf R32 in the US I know goes for like $32k. Not sure what the Conversion is...but For the money that R32 is sick!!!!! we had a used one at work for a couple of weeks! I found it to be more fun than the corvette Z06 we have.

no wonder its not in america.

99% of americans cannot survive with less than 200 hp, and more than 20 mpg. for example, my truck has 315hp and gets about 12mpg. all this adds up to $15 per mile, and i wouldn't sell it if i had to.

Yeah, you need more hp's for moving all fat in there

Yea, not all Americans are fat lazy gas guzzlers. Personally, my "ineficient" car is my VW GTI 1.8T The other two are deisels (also VW). As for the rediculously fuel efficient VW mentioned earlier... its called the 1 litre, and you can google it and it will come up. No one will ever see it, it was a technology mule that will never make mass production, but it did meet its goal of 100KM per 1 litre of fuel.
