I was about 17. I was getting parts for my datsun or my toyota less than 1k car. In the weeds in the very back of the junk yard about 300 yards from the main office, no one around there was a car. The hood was off. The convertibel top was destroyed. Half the engine block was missing. I studied the car and recognize it but I didnt know where from. This is the car I saw in the field that day. I knew it was valuable. But at 17 I had enough for the part I needed and that was about it. Wish I had had 6 or 700 dollars. Im sure the junkyard wouldve sold it for nothing. Clearly no one knew what they had there. ..... :sigh:
