It's a 2000 Honda CBR600 with 19,000 miles. Also with bunch of custom work to it. He's selling it for $3,500. I don't know if I should get it, so I am hoping you guys can give me your opinion. I have never ridden on a bike before. I'm thinking $3,500 isn't bad for a 600 to learn on. I don't know the guy, so I have never seen the bike in person. Tell me what you guys think!

before buying a bike, id go take a motorcycle safety class and get your endorsement. if you want to get a bike and start riding go about it the right way, if youve never ridden before and you go out and get a crotch rocket, its a recipe for disaster. motorcycles are a lot of fun, but your margin for error on them is very slim, you have the potential to kill yourself or seriously fuck yourself up. and as the saying goes, there are two type of riders, those riders who have had accidents, and those that are waiting to have accidents. take it seriously, dude.

that's about 1500 too much for a bike with that kind of milage on it.... 2000 is still a bit high, it would have to be in mint condition

35 large is too much for that bike. My first bike was a Katana 600. It had more miles than that, but was rebuilt, and I gave a grand for it, but it was from a family member. That bike your talking about, mods and all (thats just flash, you need to be able to RIDE it, not look at it) is about a $2000 bike. I would keep looking. It sounds like its a nice bike, and the owner is awful proud of the ups he has on it. Upgrades are nice, but for a first bike you dont need to go O.C.C. or Xtreme, you need a dependable bike that you can get a feel for.

First of all go see it, if you have never seen it how do you know what its worth? second only you know if you should buy it after all your gonna be the one riding it. $3500 thats not bad for a good bike, I ride alot and love it I have been riding for years now and have 4 bikes. all can say is if you buy it welcome to the club.

WHAT?!?! I'm into bikes big time and to be honest, I would not even look at a used bike with 19,000 miles on it unless the dude was selling it to me for piss in a jar. You see what people do on bikes. A motorcycle is a SERIOUSLY high performance machine, and to have traveled that far has definately taken a toll on that precision mahcine. $3500 is just a retarded price.

That price does sound high to me for that bike... Did he mention why he is selling it?

I bought a bike for $300 to see if I like motorcycles and to learn on... It turns out I like bikes but not driving around NYC I'll get killed.

Also Do Not Ever go by kelley blue book... it's pure BS it tells you what you want to hear... not what it's really worth. they have nothing to do with the auto industry at all. The industry standard is galves... But thats not free.
