wow, that's actually seems like alot of money for 600hp, if I swapped a 2jz-gte into my mk2 supra I'm sure I could get to 600hp for less then $100k, much less with nitrous

Its an estimate of costs anyway.
Its not just about the bhp though, you could have all the bhp in the world, but without any way of putting it onto the ground, you would have a pointless vehicle, im sure that most of the costs involved in the golf were about handliing the power, and cornering abilities etc etc!

I don't care how hopped up it is, you take a VW Golf to a Burger King and the Ferrari Spago...

I`d still have the ferrari anyday. That golf would need an engine rebuild after a few more sessions of that where as the the ferrari`s pedigree engine would still be going strong.

Dont get me wrong!
Id take a ferrari any day of the week, but for out and out track day fun, the golf wins imo hands down.
I wouldnt worry so much about thrashing it, and maybe crashing it, where as if i was in my ferrari, id never want to drive it anywhere, and if i did it wouldnt be over 30mph!

Damn that was one quick car. I've done track days in tuned Scoobies, Evo's and Skylines but that thing was nuts!

Keeping a Ferrari under 30 MPH is a crime!
