Dam Well they must be running out of idea's! because it's Saturn and Ponitac have the same car! still nice thoe but lets face it.Too many of same car can be a bad thing....but not sure what numbers of this car they make worldwide?

It's the fucking General-Motors. The engine is the same in all three cars, and if I'm correct, it's Opel's engineers design. Opel has give their technology to many GM cars, and this ain't the first and the last I think.

i like the opel one better..I'm surprised about the turbo... Gm usually uses superchargers. i beleive the saturn only has 170hp. GM seems to be pushing the cars on this platform for drifting.

Interesting sidenote about Saturn... They are looking to go upscale and eventually compete with the likes of lexus and infinity.

every large global car company... has a global parts bin.. this is great because it makes it cheaper and you get a better product through engineering. BTW all three of these vehicles use the GM 2.2 L ecotec (great small engine) and a short throw saab 6 speed.. Great shifter BTW.. I like it better than the M3 tranny.

I would like to hear someone complain about Toyota's Scion... an entire car line.... all made from the corolla.

I wish they would sell opels here again.. haven't seen them in the states since the 70's.. a few months ago I saw an opel gt in really nice shape.

I really like Opel. It's a fantastic car nowadays. Vectra C is a great car to drive and it's very reliable. The problems since Vectra B is all behind. Our car magazines liked all the new models and had almost nothing bad to told.

Opel And Pontiac use 2.0l Ecotec turbo? Maybe the 2.2l engine is available too, I don't know. But Opel has done lots of engine development for GM and it's starting to show. Saab 9-3 Sport Sedan is full of Opel's part. And it's a great car too.

You are absolutely correct! it is the 2.0L That they use and slap the supercharger on.

I'm waiting for the new 1.8 liter engine, with 140bhp. The current 1.8 is a little kick-ass pot, and the new one is going to be blast! Such a heavy car as Vectra C is, the 1.8 liter engine goes really well. When you toss the gass pedal to the floor, the car moves like a beast.

Torque is very important. I do not think we are gonna see the 1.8L here.. the 2.2 and the surpercharged 2.0 seem to be the small engines of choice over here by GM.

not that bad but im not like opel

Opel belongs to GM, Saab does too, opel parts bilds by the way the base for all europian GMs as far as i know

I think the 2.0l engine is really small in the states. Comparing to huge V8's. Torque is indeed very important and those turbos have good ratio of both. I really love to get my hands one of those GT's.

1.8 liter is the most sold engine in Finland. We have high car prices and insurance, so it's full of compromises.

Actually 4 and 6 cylinders are becoming more popular here in the states. They've come a long way from what they were here... American cars are becoming more comparable to european and japanese makers.

You don't see many Deisel cars in the states here... because the price is sooo high. It's more expensive than 93 octane where I am.

4 & 6 cylinders have always been pretty popular here in Oz and we still get heaps of Opel cars too...but theyve been rebadged into Holdens..(another company owned be GM) we get all the goodies here, all the high end performance cars from Japan and all the euro cars through Holden and Ford. We get all the usual euro brands (volvo, merc. alfas etc) i mean the lesser known ones for us like Opel and Vauxhall.

The convertible Opel looks pretty cool, but i doubt it will reach Ozzie shores...were not too keen on topless cars here....weather is too harsh.

Maybe that's the way things are going nowadays. People are realising that 4 and 6 cylinder engines can produce power/torque and they are very economical. It's funny to watch Honda and other jap producers in the states. They have so different kind of models there, than we have here. Every Acura is big and muscular than average jap in Europe. Funny thing to produce so different kind of models in one country, which is a big country of course.

As I mentioned before, an average family buys a good car with "small" engine in Finland. It's so much cheaper when compared to higher engine liters. 1.8l vs. 2.2l has a huge cap in prices.

Finland has also very colorful car collection. We have almost everything. There are 10 big car shops in my city and you can find every big brand, and many small brands. KIA and Daewoo are the newest here I think.

I'm waiting for the struggle between EU and Finland. Our government has it's own rules about car taxing and stuff, and it's starting to effect all around. EU has interfered to the ways things are going here. And I think it's good. Car producers have to sell their cars below the real market price, because high taxes! I'll wait and see.

Only 10 car shops? you mean car dealers right? we have waaaaaaaay more than that where i live, and its a small city, Sydney has tonnes of dealers..

the average family car here is a 3.3 to 4.0 litre engine, and petrol costs $1.30/litre.. doesnt stop us buying big cars.. but young people here buy all the Jap cars mainly..sporty and cheap
