Common Foods That Can Be Toxic to Dogs

Apple cores and seeds- Apple seeds eaten by dogs can cause cyanide poisoning. Symptoms can include vomiting, listlessness, and excessive drooling.

Apricot seeds- Apricot seeds contain the same components as apple seeds and can also cause cyanide poisoning. Look for signs of poisoning, which are excessive salivation, vomiting, and lethargy.

Beer and other alcoholic drinks- Contrary to popular belief, some dogs will drink alcohol if it is offered. If a dog drinks too much alcohol, it could result in a coma or death.

Baby food- Some baby foods contain onion powder. Onion powder can be toxic to dogs and can cause anemia.

Broccoli- Broccoli can be toxic to your dog if a large quantity is eaten. Broccoli is fine in small doses.

Caffeine- Any food product containing caffeine should not be given to a dog. Caffeine can disrupt a dog's nervous system and cause an accelerated heart rate.

Chocolate- Chocolate can be toxic to dogs. Chocolate contains a compound called theobromine. Theobromine is a diuretic. The chocolate may cause vomiting and diarrhea. Combined with the diuretic effect, chocolate can cause extreme dehydration in dogs. Chocolate also stimulates the heart by causing an increased or irregular heartbeat in dogs. Death is possible. Chocolate may also affect a dog's central nervous system. Milk chocolate is the least toxic to dogs because it contains the least amount of theobromine. Cocoa powder, baking chocolate, and dark chocolate are much more poisonous to dogs.

Coffee- Coffee can be toxic if given to dogs. Coffee also may affect a dog's nervous system. Keep coffee grounds and coffee beans away from dogs.

tl;dr

Yes
