Not true. A hand gun isn't held in place by sheer strength. If
anyone locks their elbows when firing a weapon of that much force, they will do one of two things; They'll either wind up on their back, or their elbows will bend (not their entire arm because it doesn't take that much strength) and their hands - and the weapon attached to them - will come back towards their head.
She's also not standing very well, but mostly it's her elbows. She didn't go reeling backwards, and her arms didn't go with the inertia of the weapon. It's obviously not a physical strength issue.
Elbows and knees are the shock absorbers for anyone trained with firearms. Without them, we eat the "equal but opposite force" of the explosion in the chamber.
Her elbows are locked, which is why it "swung" back into her face rather than compressing her arms to absorb the impact towards her body and into the ground.
She had not been properly trained, and was clearly not familiar with hand guns.
I also noted the guys in the background encouraging her to fire rapidly, instead of taking her time and going at her own pace - and sort of taunting her along. No one is telling her to take her time, to bend her knees, elbows, or remember her stance. No one is helping her, they're all sort of goading her.
The only considerate thing any of them did was someone mentioned she should put her tongue back in her mouth (presumably, and I'm giving the benefit of the doubt here - so that she doesn't bite it off during the recoil). Judging by the other information present in the video though, I'd say this was more of a snyde comment and a smart-ass remark rather than a genuine attempt to help, but let's go ahead and give the benefit of the doubt anyway.
Even so, these guys are ass holes - above and beyond not respecting the young lady or the weapon.
I get the strong impression that these guys are the kind that end up in the Darwin Awards.
