Why suddenly[Link] required to load for videos?

Few days ago I suddenly was not able to play videos anymore at WBW. This on Firefox with NoScript plugin.
Turns out that suddenly it's required that http://jwpcdn.com/ has to be allowed a connection on NoScript or the video will just not play. As I understand it, it's from JW-player itself and they use it purely for statistical purposes ... at least, that is what they say, so we have to trust them on their big blue eyes.
Have to say that it is a bit strange that we now *must* accept that site because otherwise we can not play video. The error on screen is then: "Could not load plugins: File not found".

Didn't knew this was happening, gonna ask with jwplayer what to-do about this. As I hate these callbacks too...

Did bit more searching. Seems that you can do it by disabling the JW Player analytics. Info from http://www.longtailvideo.com/support/forums/jw-player/setup-issues-and-embedding/29831/how-to-prevent-jw-loading-ressources-from-jw-servers/ (although that posting is 2 years old)

Yeah been searching myself too... Seems like they enabled it again in latest version... So I will downgrade to version 6.6 to fix this...

Have fixed the issue with a downgraded version of Jwplayer. So big brother will no longer be watching us with their call home options...

Just tried it but still the same issue. Will try tomorrow, maybe it needs some time on WBW to update in the system.
Thanx anyway for acting on this

I've been coming here for years...logged in and tried to play a video (4.29MB) that should've started (and been streamed with my dl speed) instantly. Nothing happened; just a "twirly" icon that went on and on and on and, well...you get the point.

Any ideas on what is wrong?

Strange, that sounds like it didn't start streaming. What browser do you use?

Nope...still same problem. Received an error, "Error loading video. Video could not be played". Strange. Using same system as always--no software or hardware additions/deletions. Can download fine but can't stream all of a sudden.

Safari 5.1.1 I switched over to Firefox 27 and it seems to have fixed the problem.

Seems that still a small group of people have problems with videos... I am working very hard on fixing these issues and trying to find out what is wrong with the html5 player.
