Who is the guy rating 1 on super hot chicks ? Theories

Bring some of that thunder over to the lounge from time to time. We could use a few new creative types over there.

Sometimes I'll vote a low number if I'm sick of seeing the same girl on the top 5. I'm mean if she's been up there for a week, enough already. We know she's hot give someone else a try. It wouldn't be to exciting if the top 5 never changed. It would be worthless no matter how hot they all were.

Thanks for the acknowlegment of my point. But I think your point on this is more emotional than realistic.

Speaking as someone who does statistical analysis as part of my job, you are making my point ! The number of "1" votes has no...statistically speaking....no influence at all on the pictures score simply because the small number of "1" votes, and number for number just not very significant.

You mention "total accuracy". Total accuracy is a really professional term and is always qualified by what method was used. Are we talking about an average score or a median score ? Or, are you using a more sophisticated method....I am trying not to get all wonky here, just trying to keep it in perspective, ya know ? ( Since the properties section is thoughtfully provided, it would be easy for you analyze where the real action is.)

Let's keep it simple. "1" voters as well as the "10" are just making their point and the vast majority of voters are making theirs. So, ditch that idea of total accuracy. It really is an unfounded and provocative characterization of normal human opinion behavior. And do take this comment in the spirit intended.

you are totally right and my use of "total accuracy" was too strong.

@F1098 : While you may be right now that some heavy 1 spammers have been banned, it was not the case a few weeks ago when the top rated babes would end like that : all votes from 6 to 10 except 15 to 20% that were 1. Nothing between 1 and 6.
We could say that statistically it would not matter if all the pics had this 15-20% 1 votes but that was not the case. Top rated babes were the most 1 voted making them "top-average" so that whole pics rating system was flattened by this.
Pics ended being rated from 5 to 6.5 while a few years ago (and by now) pics were more 4-5 to 8.

It could be legitimate if those votes were from different people (whatever the reason) but when you have someone with 100+ accounts, it not expressing your opinion anymore, it's forcing it.

Thanks for your detailed response ! I had no idea what the real stat driver was, and clearly it was artificial. So thanks for the clarification. Without that spammer situation, I would have to stand by the principle that individual should be able to vote their aesthestic.........but just once !

@F1098 your view is kind and philanthropic and that's a great thing about you. Please don't change. But Omuh is making a good point too.

If a President is elected by each people voting once, we agree it is legitimate. If some people gets 100 votes (or even just 2 ! ) and the rest of us only 1, we get the feeling of being screwed.

I really really rarely vote 1 (unless it's really appalling me) but I guess yours would qualify (I would hesitate between 1 and 2). Same goes for 10, because perfection is rare too, but let's say this one would be near 10 in my book.
I can't find another 1 as I don't keep track of them ^^
