How in the FUCK did this turn into such a train wreck of a pissing contest?

Seriously, all of you need to get laid, or drunk, or go outside.

I can ABSOLUTELY understand why Wood interpreted the rules the way he did. The system DOES say that you can't upload more than 500 pics in one instance, but in another it also says that if you have OVER 500 in the queue, one has to wait to upload more.

The implication of the second statement being, "If you go over 500, that's cool, but then you gotta wait till there's more room to do any others."

Depending on which statement one person reads and how they interpret that statement, it's pretty easy to see how a difference in interpretation can happen.

Fundamentally speaking, the system should probably not allow for the uploaded pics to exceed 500 in the first place, rather than just automatically kick out the extras once they are.

If that portion of the system is corrected, there's no argument to be had in the first place.



The wording could be improved. That's a fact.

The fact that the system allows more pics to be uploaded than it will retain can also be improved. That too is a fact.

The main problem with your post here is it doesn't explain why all my pictures were deleted from the Q multiple times and why 90% are rejected. Again I challenge you to tell me why one picture is posted and ten are not. It was not my intent to post all 2100 pictures but as I stated before I was told by a mod here to post up Zip files and the chances were better I would get some posted.
I need to be made a picture mod. Problem solved. Serious.

The dutchies aren't amazing with English, but the "maximum is 500" thing should be clear enough to the average chap, or so I would assume..or well, did assume, until I realized people think "maximum" is a suggestion or something.

True, but you also have to admit that the other wording that is shown sometimes:

"There are 620 pictures awaiting to be moderated, you have to wait until it drops under 500 before you can upload pictures again."

Lends itself to a different interpretation. It also doesn't change the fact that the system will then accept more pics than 500, and automatically deletes the extras (if I understand correctly).

Rather what it should do is read the zip file, tell the uploader that the entire zip has been rejected because it contains too many pics, and at least then the person knows what the issue is and which pics (all of them) got rejected for that reason.

The problem is that the system accepts more than 500 pics, and then LATER corrects it, without telling the user directly, and without telling the user which pics were rejected, or even telling the user why.

Yes, you're right that the statement of "You may only have 500 pics in the queue at any time" is direct and clear. IF THAT WAS THE ONLY STATEMENT PRESENT.

Also, if the system wouldn't allow that statement to be violated in the first place.



Let's be fair, Honda. Yes, that statement is clear. It is also the opposite of what the other statement implies, and the system itself almost invites people to misunderstand and violate that standard by accepting pics above the limit in the first place.

I'm not saying Wood is right. I'm not saying anyone else is wrong. I'm saying that it's easy for me to see why this is confusing to some people.

I'm also still saying I can't believe you guys are actually fighting about this shit. That's kinna sad. This ain't worth fighting over...

People here have had the same problem as I with the number of pictures in the Q well below 500 and as another mod here has stated the wording is vague at best,I never saw maximum, I only saw it say I could not ad more until I was under 500, I have posted this many times, don't make me again please.
