The "tag" system in the babe gallery!

I have a question!

As fare as I know, the tagging is part of the upcomming searchfunction in the babe gallery.

- What is the status for the tagging thing i the babe gallery?

I read through some of the latest threads in this forum, and when ever the tagging comes up, Diz replies that it is being worked on.

- Does it work? If not, then when? Or is it a waste of time tagging pics?
- Do any of the crew or coders have an idear when we will see the result of the tagging?
- How do they actually work?
- When do the tags become permanent? Do a sertant number of members have to tag the same, or are they being modded?

- There is a tag for "thong" and for "g-string". What is the difference???

The tag system is working for tagging pictures, but it is not yet searchable. That function will be added on the next update. I don't have an ETA on that, however. Perhaps Diz could give you a better estimate on it.

As far as I know, you tag pictures, and when a certain amount of people have tagged the same thing on a picture, that tag becomes permanently associated with that picture. There are also a few permanent-tag mods that are able to permanently tag a picture without having to wait for it to receive X amount of votes from views at large.

I usually tag "thong" as a bottom in which I can see most of a chick's ass, and "g-string" when it's more of a T-back style of panties/bathingsuit/etc.

It takes a certain number of people to vote the same thing on a picture before that tag becomes permanently associated with the picture. I'm not sure what that number is, but if it's, say 5, now it needs 4 more people to tag the picture the same way you did before it becomes permanent.

I think it's 10. Too many, imo.

A g-string is actually what's pictured in both of those pics, EL.

The "String" part being what's important.

Technically speaking, this is a thong. Notice the width of the bands going over the hips, as well as the general girth/breadth of the panties themselves over the genitals.

This is a G-string. See the "string" as opposed to a "band" that goes over the hips? As well was the general size of the area covered by the panties themselves.

That's my understanding of it anyway, and my girlfriend educated me on the differences often... Much to my glee.

She could be wrong, and I could be wrong, but those are the differences as far as I understand them.

I stand corrected. Wikipedia says a G-string is a sub-type of thong.

Cool. I'd been wondering what that meant, too. At first I thought it might have been a tag for ugly, but most of the girls in the pics with those tags were far from it.

No, there aren't any tags for hot/cute/ugly etc. I guess you just have to click on the pictures to figure it out.

Do we actually get rewarded for tagging pics, like we do when we vote and stuff?

Could some of the crew maybe poke Diz or one of the coders, so they could speak their mind on the initial questions and maybe set some dates?

Yeah, you pick up .01 Credits per every tag added. It adds up pretty quickly (as I have something like over 50,000 tags).

Eh, the more specific, the better, IMO.

I usually save "boots" for the bigger-leathery-high-heeled boots.
