The Phantom Rater continues...

I know this topic has been covered (a lot) but I'm positive there must be a solution to this issue.

I've just logged into WBW this morning and noticed that a couple of pictures from my upload queue had been approved, so I clicked on them to see what comments had been left and see what ratings they had been given etc. Now I know people have differing opinions on which girls are hot and which aren't, so to see one of my uploads given a 5 or 6 rating is no surprise. But to see one of my new uploads given a 1 rating was a bit of a shock.

This is the picture in question - http://whatboyswant.com/showpicture/1470225/1/uploadedby/663486 - which I don't believe is worthy of a 1 rating (or, to be honest, a 10 rating either).

So I checked the latest uploaded babes from everyone and noticed that a lot of the recent pictures each have a 1 rating, including these ones:

None of these are worthy of a 1 rating but yet they each have one.

If this is one person going through rating 1 for each photo, is there no way of a crew member finding out which member this is?

...and just as a little update, check out my uploads - http://whatboyswant.com/babeoverview/uploadedby/1/663486 - about 10 have been approved recently and someone has gone through them rating them each a 1. I mean, seriously? 1?!

It looks like the bandits attempt has failed with the first one, it's come out of the wash after seven votes with an 8.29

I haven't voted it yet btw.

I just approved some of your pics jhope, but I haven't rated them so not sure who or how that can be checked sorry.

And I approved the first 2 of the three examples you used too.. And yours and the girl in the white shorts are smoking so there must be someone just rating everything a 1.. That makes me sad

I just can't understand why someone would want to continually go through pictures and constantly vote a 1.

Am I right in thinking in the new version of WBW it lists which members gave what vote for each picture, or have I made that up?

I have heard rumors of that sort.

And I would like to add, that while there may be someone trying to troll or sabotage pictures by auto rating them 1's, your uploads and contributions to the site are greatly appreciated.

Yes,it is a pain to see a 1 vote, but the fact is that with lliterally hundreds of votes for each girl, 1 vote just doesn't matter at all !

Some people are assholes, there's no other way to put it. Don't get me wrong I have voted 1's, just as I've voted 10's. Both are few and far between, and I didn't vote 1 or 10 on any of the pics in question. I understand your frustration, but I don't know if showing who voted what number is the answer, because it wont change anything. Where I agree that none of the pictures you questioned deserve a 1 rating, down the line I don't want to have to answer to some pissed off person about a picture that I feel deserves a 1 rating. You could throw up the idea that ratings should start a 5 instead of 1, but then they would just vote 5 for everything, and you'd have to leave it up to the moderators to weed out anything that they'd believe would be less than a 5, and then you'd have people bitching about how come my pictures weren't uploaded. Though, I do think there should be something done about people that only vote 1's, if they're just doing it to be an asshole. There's really no way to win.

If they are found to be auto- voters or bots, they can be banned.
statistically it shouldn't ffect the outcome as F1098 posted.

Yeah, there's a group that rates all 1s. There's also a group that rates all 10s. I'm not sure which group is larger. It's annoying though.

Just had a look through my photos. And I'll be more than happy to admit they may not be 10's but NO WAY are they 1's. But I suppose that's what happens when you post pictures to a public forum. There will always be someone who doesn't have the same taste as you. I think my signature line say's what I think.

To answer the first question, it can be someone who just like to troll-vote and make people rage or make his own uploads better rated than the others. It can also be bots for whatever purpose.
Lots of accounts have been banned by Diz recently for that.

Concerning the second question : yes, the next version will allow you to see who rated what for the last 100 votes if I remember correctly. You can already check that on http://alpha.whatboyswant.com (you'll need to create an account to see the properties of a picture).

Also, just check this thread that sum up what has already been said on this subject.

Also in the new version there is going to be a mod tool so that we can see who is voting all 1's and they can be dealt with appropriately

This may be answered elsewhere, but, with the new version, what keeps someone who disagrees with the way that you rated one of their pictures from going and rating all of yours in the 1-2 range?
