Suggestion for new credit system

I have been thinking out an system to expand the credit system, I am thinking of the following reward system:

Credits will be with decimals with the new system and you can have negative credits if you have had to much penalties.

Report
× Correctly reported items - 1 credit
× When an item of yours is reported and removed (pro/watermarked, not dupes) - 5 credits penalty.

Forum
× When you got 5 star rated by somebody you get 0.3 credit.
× When you got 4 star rated by somebody you get 0.2 credit.
× When you got 3 star rated by somebody you get 0.1 credit.
× When you got 2 star rated by somebody you get 0.0 credit.
× When you got 1 star rated by somebody you get 0.1 credit penalty.
× When moderator deletes or locks your topic because of breaking a rule you will get 10 credits penalty.

Babe/Car section
× Every babe/car picture that you submit and is correctly moderated by a mod - 0.10 credit
× For every picture wrongfully uploaded credits will be taken (pro/watermarked, not dupes) - 5 credit penalty!

Movie section
× Movies submitted and moderated with a quality of lower then 320x240 -> 0.05 credits per second of movie
× Movies submitted and moderated with a quality of between 320x240 and 512x384 -> 0.10 credits per second of movie
× Movies submitted and moderated with a quality of 512x384 or higher -> 0.25 credits per second of movie
× For wrongfully uploaded movies (pro/watermarked, not dupes) - 0.40 credits per second penalty!

Did I forget anything? Or do you think things have to be fine tuned? please comment!!!!

i think one credit per uploaded picture is a bit too much!

is not hard to get 100 pics up and eventually you will have a drop on the sponsors numbers

maybe if the pic is original (WBW sign on the girl, etc) it could be rewarded but credit for just any pic uploaded seems too much for me

Credits for uploaded pictures just sounds like a bad idea to me, tons of people will just upload whatever shit they can find for credits. But, that's just my opinion...

we need some punishments too here... what you think?

Yup - this makes sense......

How about not rewarding the credit until the pic has x number of votes and must have at least a 5 in quality that should keep the junk from getting through.

Yeah, I got that chief, I meant they'll drive the queue even higher, and it will be packed with pure shit....like now, only more so.

That's a pretty good idea, it would make people pay a bit more attention to what they upload..but you could only really use that system for people who upload pics with URL's on them, because it wouldn't really work on pro(non-URL) or reposts..

But it's all up to you guys, I was just saying it might be a potential problem, albeit a small one...But anyway you guys decide to go im sure it will be fine..

Thats a good idea but IMHO if you want to try and abuse the system; upload a load of crap, some will get through as ok and some will be rejected....chances are you're still gona be on the positive side of credits and there's no real reason not to have a negative credit?

How about credits linked to number of posts (obv talking about a LOT of posts, more than me for example) might help stop leaching but obv need an anti-spam clause?

I am goign to abuse myself and re suggest what i suggested on the other topic about credits:


divide the userscore by 200 and get that person those many credits per month

you have 4000 points, you get 20 credits to use everymonth.
I still think is the best way to get the credits flowing and the site going even bigger withtout unnecesary queue jams anr stupid uploads

I don't like the picture idea. Too many credits for each picture.

Maybe like .33 credits for every pic accepted.

A variation on this might be the best since it doesnt put the emphasis on jamming the queues (making more work for you guys).

For the record, I agree that one credit per pic uploaded is too generous.

Bear in mind this comes from a dude that historically only gets credits through the site - so I'm tanking my own goodies here, and even I agree that it's too generous.

I thought about that myself, Mistral. At first I was like, "Fuck yeah, nail 'em for uploading dupes and shit!"

But then... We (the up-loaders) don't always know they're duplicate pictures, and thus we'd start to get scared of uploading and shit. In my case, usually half of my pics get rejected, but the other half make it in and as far as I've ever known my shots come from original sources.

I think that if we're going to give out credits based on user score... As long as we can also earn credits by reporting and uploading things, I think that's cool. Otherwise, I think it's a tad tight-wadish. In times past, I could and did spend three or four nights a month hunting down duplicate pictures and wound up with something like 500 credits in the span of a month or two, tops. So as long as I can keep doing that, I'm cool with some credits for user-score divided by 200.

If I only get credits based off my user score though, then I don't really like that, because I can do better for me while also doing better for you all in return.

Basing it off user score does have the hazard of it contributing to shit-posting and shit-uploading, and no system in the world is going to stop people from doing both on the off chance that one makes it through with a 5 rating, or that after 3k shit-posts they're getting an extra 15 credits a month.

If you base it off score, they will shit-post. No way around it.

Made some correction to the system, any new suggestion welcome.

I like the idea, I think penalizing should only happen when you have a vid thats obviously taken from somewhere else. No one can track all the pics. I also think the .3, .2 etc might be too specific, now bout .5, or 1 point and up. Just for simplification.

The high penalties are there for a reason, people don't seem to learn. The problem for example with the babe movie queue is that a lot of people send in PRO and watermarked movies. This only makes it harder to moderate movies for us, the dupes aren't the problem, most are rejected already at upload.
