Problem with forwarding is that it takes more bandwidth and cpu power to-do so... Still everything going from and to wbw is still fully encrypted. Only the external images loaded on the forum are not.

HTTP (normally are using) is insecure and is subject to man-in-the-middle and eavesdropping attacks, which can let attackers gain access to website accounts and sensitive information. HTTPS is designed to withstand such attacks and is considered secure against such attacks (with the exception of older deprecated versions of SSL).

I use HTTPS everywhere addon on Firefox but it doesn't seem to automatically switch WBW to HTTPS as it should. Is it normal ?

the HTTPS addon for firefox uses a "whitelist" of sites were people can use http, but isn't by default. It doesn't test if https is available and then switches.
