movies not showing on my queue?

hi,
newbie here.. very good site must say! i downloaded three movies but when i look at my stats it is showing zero in movies in queue? have they not come thru?

if they're already in the system then they automatically get deleted without need for reviewing. That may be what happened to yours. There's tons of movies already in the archives so an extremely high percentage of movies that are uploaded are already in there.

ok thanks! one just got accepted and is showing in my queue so i guess its just a case of uploading the ones i have and see if i get any more accepted! i wonder does it compare file names or actual movie content to verify whether the movie is already in the database?

I think it compares things like file size, compression and a few other things to get an exact match. I don't know the official answer on that though so you'd be better off waiting for a mod to answer that one.

i only know that we use MD5 hash on uploaded pictures. if this works for mvoies, idk.
