More Downloads More Credits?

Hi i posted a video that i edited myself and spent some time to make it decent (for myself mostly), and this video is getting a lot of hits, but im not getting a lot of credits. I'm thinking that it'd be a great idea to give credit to vids with more hits, but that's just me.
Is this a good idea?

I think I could support the concept of giving credits based on the number of views/downloads.
