Moderation log meanings

I have had photos in my moderation log for months. Some say “live “and some say “queue”.
What does live and queued mean?
Not trying to sound dumb, but some of the ones that say live have been in the moderation log forever.

I believe "live" means it had been approved and added to the site, but later removed due to being pro/duplicate/underage/other reason, and "queue" means it was rejected before making it onto the site.
