Locked out of account

Hey gents, love this site.....so much that I use it to kill down time at work, I use a proxy since the IT department blocks pretty much all content. My issue is I seem to be locked out of my account, there are times when I try to log in and I'm not allowed access since I've signed in from 15 different countries. I get lucky every once in awhile and get in but I know there are times I use the same countries I've used before and have no luck.

Can this be disabled? or reset? and Just wondering why the site is set up like this?
