hey Diz-X another idea

With some of the fighting that has been going on here i think being able for a person to chose to block forums created or posts made by certain people would be something to look into.

You are right, some people go over the line, and our moderators doing the best they can.. I am thinking of adding a function where you can report abusive members and so help the moderators a hand..

I belive the moderators are doing the best they can and think they are doing a great job. But for someone like me to just click on a button that say block all that so and so has to say whould make the moderators lives a little easyer. And when people come to complain to them they can say "well if you don't like what so and so has to say you can just block them".

Oh and Diz-X here is another idea that i keep thinking of but keep forgeting while i'm on. If i recall right you said you like to mix some tunes, it would be cool if we had the option to hear some of them while on your site looking at pics

wbw radio now that would rock. have the crew play what they want when on. i think it would be one of the first sites to do this. and you could even make a couple extra bucks by snecking in an ad here and there on the radio

Oke first thing about that button, I think it is nessasary that you report it when somebody crossed the line. When you just block them, moderators see it to late and the topic can go on.

The second Idea is nice. Diz himself is a DJ and producer. I don't know how mutch work it is to build a internet radio? But i know it cost a lot

I have discuss it with Diz a while ago in a meeting but don't forget we not having a big group of programmars and we pay our bills our self.

This is one of the reasons why we have to get sponsormembers, to develop new features like this. But the idea is great!!!! We have it in our developing plan WBW.

The first topic is not just about people doing bad things as much as me just not needing to hear what they have to say. I wont run and tell a crew member how this or that person's opion is wrong. i just don't care to see it come up again and again and again. they can say all they want, it would be nice just to block them out from my side. There are some people also worried about seeing content that is illegale in their country that this option would help as well so they don't feel they are stepping over the line. So that way if they feel that one person is posting content that is illegale to them in their country they can also block it. I would report it for sure if someone started to abuse other members and just being all out rude to everyone. But i'm one of those guys that would like to block out someone that i have a hard time with that isn't really doing anything wrong but I would just rather not deal with them and see something that makes me come close to being a little rude to them back and like my signature says "If you harbor bitterness, happiness will dock else where." I just want to come to this site and be happy.

internet radio? shoutcast+winamp=10 minutes work. but you'll need alot of bandwith..

when a member's actions have crossed the lines that are dictated in "terms of service" at the bottom of the page, i do bring it to the attention of a crew member...but i've only seen this once since i've been visiting, and a crew member took care of me perfectly...and i have done nothing but become more and more happy with this site since i started visiting

ach sometimes you just have to ignore poeple when they say something, that is sometimes the best solution, becose we have a lot of members and sure not everyone can talk nice to everyone, look at the real life you have poeple you like you got poeple you don't like. The ones you like you hang out with the others you just ignore.

About the radio it's not that hard to make you need a shoutcast server, seting it up is peac of cake, done in max5 minutes. Then the dj's need shoutcast plugin and winamp, and they can broadcast frome ther pc to the server, and the server broadcasts the music to everyone who is listening. That does take a lot of bandwith, you could do around 60kbytes/sec for every user that meens if i remember 22khz stereo sound, good enove to listen to it, only problem is you need a lot of band with. Let's see like if you do it with 60kb and you get 100 listeners it's already 6000kb/sec you are broadcasting. that meens you need atleast a 50Mbite line to let 100 users listen. But you could make the radio only for paying members or something like that. I don't know if ther is another way of using public servers. I could try to find out if that's posible, so you use them and they put comercials sometimes trough it :P

Another problem is the rights you have to pay for.. I don't want to be slapt in the face by a record company because I have to pay for everytime I play music.

Why not " A positive / negative vote " on a user.

Each user can vote + / - against another user .

Each new user can start at 0.0000.
Each group up moves your + / - points a decimal digit. [ stop a newbie killing a Pimp ]

Newbie = + / - 0.0001
Next up = + / - 0.0010
Next up = + / - 0.0100 ... etc

I do not know how many levels you have or what would be fair and
also protective against a Newbie Denial of Service attack.

But you could allow users to gain Get out of Jail / Trouble cards like Monoply.
Magic potions and Newbie Armour might be nice also.

Moderators would also have a final say. Set limits of + /- in a period like
the stock exchange. Auto stops on full frontal character attacks.

Each person would then have their own points and priviledges, alliances will form,
the WBW reality show will launch.

Oh well just another wild idea of goverment by the people for the people.

I wouldn't be against that publicity!
