totally insane! plus no one would know where anybody was from, I mean America has 50 something states, we only have 7 but there are a whole lot of other countries with more states or provinces. It would be unique, but a headache

Briton /United Kingdom is not a country, but a union of countries and not states. I hate the Union jack and resent having to fly it.

Dude. You live in Great Britain. And Great Britain is broken into a few different states.

My question was serious. I had always thought that the union jack was the flag of England. I was just looking for some clarification. I wasn't baiting you into anything where I could make fun of Great Britain. I can do that whenever I want.

hmm ok. sorry. the union jack is the flag of the united kingdom/great britain. it is a combination of the four countries flags which make up the united kingdom/great britain (including the english flag.
