Cant see pictures :/

hey,
first of all: im from germany so my english may not be the best (yeah eurofag )

my problem is that i cant see any pictures in the babe gallery, only thumbnails. if i click a picture to the screen where i can vote, all i can see is a red X with IE and nothing with firefox. but i can see the 5 thumbnails at the bottom of the screen with the "previous" and "next". i cant even view those pics in fullscreen mode but i can see it if i download the pic or right click it -> open with...
on firefox i have adblock plus installed but its turned off on wbw.
so please help :/

Hmm, strange case... Did you try resetting security settings for IE? What version of IE are you using?

mostly (?) im using firefox 3.6.15 which is the newest, only in some cases, when firefox isnt working, i use the latest IE but my primary browser is firefox.
but isnt it strange that its not working with both? i also visit some other websites like WBW, and i never had problems with them

The only thing I can think off, that's your security settings. Try installing a different browser, without importing the settings of Firefox or IE. And if you keep having the same problem than maybe it's the firewall that's blocking the pictures ?

ok so i turned off my firewall and downloaded google chrome without importing my settings from other browsers
no change :/ still cant see them.
then i tried two different internet connections. one with 3g like you have on the iphone and the other is DSL, a cable connection with different port forwarding options -> no change :/

could it be that my internet provider blocks some ports?
but that would be strange because i can download the pictures.
just tried it with a different internet stick (that usb stuff with GPRS and UMTS) and it worked, but since its not mine i had to give it back.

If it works on a different ISP then it has to be your provider or the way your browser(s) are decoding the info from your ISP....doesn't it?

i tried a different provider with the same browsers (ff, ie, google chrome and safari), so it has to be my provider. is there a workaround?

but! if its an ISP problem, why do i see all other pictures and that stuff on this site, even the thumbnails?

I honestly have no idea, but if it works with the exact same configuration on a different ISP, then that tells me it's an ISP issue.

It's that you don't life close, I would come over and find out the problem you are having... it annoys me that I can't figure out what is bugging your browser... I would love and try to recreate the problem.. Are you having the problems with chickupload too? As this site is using the same script for generating thumbnails and images.

Ok so i can see the gallery, but if i click on a picture all i see is the previous/next at the top and bottom and a picture saying "chickupload no hotlinking"

and it does not work with the other two links.
with all the pictures from the babes and cars gallery

more: at all galleries where i can vote for an picture. if i go to babes->babe gallery->amateur porn for example and press the + in the bottom right corner of a thumbnail, a screen pops up with the picture and i can switch through them without problems. but whenever i have the chance of voting for a picture, the picture isnt shown

I can't help your computer problem, but your english is better than most native speakers.

I'm not sure, its just a thought, but could it be a javascript issue?

thanks, i grew up with two languages, english and german because my mother is from the UK but i have no idea about grammar...

javascript was one of my first thought but i tried 4 different browsers plus the last version of java with no effect. but as i tried the internet stick from the girl next door, with a different ISP, it worked under the same conditions

Did you try stopping scripts, don't know if it will work or not, but I guess at this point anything is worth a try...
